REVITALISED STORMERS MAKE ACCIES
FIGHT ALL THE WAY
AFTER the previous week's below par performance,
the Stormers' players regained their pride with a vastly improved display against a strong Edinburgh Accies Whites
team in Saturday's RBS Reserve League East Pod 'A' fixture at Philiphaugh.
Ahead 14-13 at half time, unfortunately Stormers couldn't prevent Accies from scoring the winning try, but nevertheless
pushed the Raeburn Place side all the way - picking up a consolation bonus point for the second week in a row.
Selkirk's try scorers were Daniel Pringle and Ben Purves, with Pringle adding both conversions. Skipper Calvin
Henderson gave a spirited lead throughout, aided by another five-star display from lock Fraser Tough.
Centre Chris Shand was also in top form for Stormers, while special mention must go to blindside flanker Kieran Reid, who showed he's lost none of his old flair in what
was his first game of the season.
STORMERS - B. Purves, T. Walling, C. Shand, B.
Wilkinson, B. Amos, D. Pringle, C. Smith, C. Henderson, S. Rodgerson, C. Fairbairn, F. Tough, L. Carrick, D. McFadzen,
