"A party of 68 Rhinos and coaches went to Murrayfield in March to
watch Scotland beat Italy in the Six Nations."

"The Selkirk Rhinos recently visited Kelso for their annual tournament.The teams put
in some very good performances, the Rhinos returning with two trophies and being runners-up in one. In total they
won 11 matches out of 18 and scored 46 tries."
The P3s played very well in a 3-2 defeat
to Gala and a 2-1 defeat against Kelso. However, tired legs showed in their third match when they lost to eventual
tournament winners Jed Forest.
The P4s had a slow start losing 4-2 against
Gala, before showing an improvement to beat Kelso & Jed Forest. They ended the tournament as runners-up.
The P5s won their tournament by beating
all three local rivals as well as touring side Marr. They played some good running and passing rugby and did not
concede a try in their four matches, but scored a total of 15. {P5 winners photo}
The P6 performance was their best of
the season. They too won all four matches to win the tournament. The matches were all closely fought. The Rhinos
scored 8 tries and conceded only 2. "{P6 winners photo}
The P7 team lost their opener to Gala
before beating Kelso 3-2. They followed this with a very good performance against tournament winners Jed Forest.
After being 3-0 down at half time, the Rhinos pulled two tries back before conceding late in the game to lose 4-2.
In their final game they drew with the tourists from Marr. |

The Rhinos, previously known as Selkirk's Mini Rugby
is rugby for the primary school pupils between P.3 and P.7. The teams are coached and run by a group of dedicated
parents from the area, ensuring future interest in the game for the kids, hopefully turning up some talent and
who knows, internationalists.
